Another weekend, another festival in Western New York. 

This time it's the Italian Heritage Festival happening across the Buffalo River along Furhmann Boulevard at the outer harbor. 

 

Italian Heritage Festival

Get your Italian cuisine on at the Galbani Cheese Italian Heritage Festival.

Organizers with the festival are serving up some new dishes for everyone to enjoy, including a new layout of the festival with music and a fireworks display. 

 

The festival starts Thursday and lasts through Sunday. Tickets cost $5 to enter the festival. Pay $15 for a four-day pass to the festival. You can get into the festival for free on both Thursday and Friday between the times of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Make sure you stop by on Friday and visit us on Channel 7 day at the Italian Heritage Festival! You can watch Thuy Lan Nguyen battle Katie Morse in a lasagna cook-off at 6 p.m.

 

Free Youth Fishing Derby

Catch some lunch with the kids in Orchard Park this weekend.

The Southtowns Walleye Association of WNY Inc. will be holding a free youth fishing derby at Chestnut Ridge on Saturday.

Sign-ups begin at 7 a.m. at Shelter 10. Coffee, juice, milk and donuts will be served from 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. For more information, click here

 

Grand Opening of the Kellogg Observatory

For the first time since 1999, the newly renovated Kellogg Observatory located at the Buffalo Museum of Science will open to the public. 

The museum will hold a weekend-long celebration on both Saturday and Sunday to mark the momentous occasion. Guests at the museum will be able to access the roof during the day and take part in a number of astronomy-related activities. 

 

Tonawanda Garden Walk

Enjoy an evening stroll through some of the best gardens Tonawanda has to offer. The walk goes from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. If you prefer the daylight, there is a garden walk Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Capen Garden Walk

If you're in the University at Buffalo neighborhood, why not hop in the car and take a walk through these gardens Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information regarding the event and a map with locations, click here. 

 

Shakespeare in Delaware Park

Check out this great outdoor experience for everyone to enjoy. Here's your last chance to watch Shakespeare's 'King Lear' this weekend. Every show starts at 7:30 p.m. 7 ABC is a proud sponsor of Shakespeare in Delaware Park.

 

Trucks Gone Wild
