Former Buffalo Sabres player Andrew Peters says he did not do a good job this weekend.
Peters, once an enforcer in the NHL, now coaches the Buffalo Jr. Sabres 15U team. During a game Saturday, players on Peters' team got into a scuffle near the bench. That's when Peters is allegedly seen on video taking a swing.
On Peters' radio show Monday morning, the ex-Sabre said fighting in youth sports is "unacceptable."
The 36-year-old says he can't discuss the altercation, but he says he did not do a good job communicating to his team.
The team has suspended Peters as coach indefinitely.
