Police say a wheelchair bound man died after he got too close to a portable propane heater and his clothes caught fire.

A small fire at a repair shop in Albion was quickly extinguished Friday, but first responders found a body inside the building.

At first, investigators thought it was suspicious because 76-year-old Francis Nayman died in the blaze.

But after further investigation, authorities say what happened to the owner of Nayman's Garage on North Main Street was a tragic accident.

Nayman was found on the floor with his wheelchair. Both had been burned extensively.
