Buffalo man claimed to cast a "spell" on police officers after being arrested for DWI

Police arrested a Buffalo man for DWI after several callers reported a reckless driver on Main Street in the City of Tonawanda.

Police say Anthony Saysay, 62, was driving 40 miles per hour in a very snow covered and slippery area.

Officers found Saysay's driver's license was suspended not paying a previous DWI fine. They also say he had no interlock device on his car.

According to officials, Saysay became combative with officers at the station and told them he "placed a voodoo spell on all of them."

Police say he refused to answer any questions and all breath tests.

Saysay told officers he was having a panic attack and was taken to Erie County Medical Center for observation and a blood draw for DWI.

Saysay was charged with DWI second offense, no interlock device, aggravated unlicensed driving, no driver's license and driving left of the pavement markings.
