Clarence burglar cuts hole in wall of business

Sheriff's Deputies in Erie County have arrested a burglar who they say cut a hole into the side of a business to break in.

Deputies arrested Chace Menkiena following an investigation that stems form a Christmas day burglary of Buffalo Pharmacy in Clarence.

Detectives discovered a hole in the wall while investigating. They believe the suspect broke into the adjacent business and then cut the hole to gain access to the pharmacy. Deputies say hundreds of prescription narcotic pills were taken.

Days later, deputies responded to the same location for a second alarm. They discovered a suspect had forced his way into the pharmacy through a door and stole bottles of oxycodone, pantoprazole and Hydroxyurea.

Deputies say evidence led them to Menkiena who was arrested at his home in NIagara Falls. He is charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor counts.
