Fire crews were able to stop a car fire from spreading to two neighboring cars and a mobile home in on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation early Monday morning.
The fire broke out in a car on Indian Hill Road just before 3 a.m.
Upper Mountain Fire and Lewiston Fire Companies responded to the scene and were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to the two other cars. The fire did spread to the deck of the mobile home, but crews say it virtually unharmed.
Lewiston Fire Company had to supply water because there are no fire hydrants on that part of Indian Hill Road.
The car is a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
