A Buffalo man is now facing charges for a crash that killed a seven month-old baby.
D'andre Turner faced arraignment in Buffalo City Court Friday on charges of criminally negligent homicide and driving while impaired.
Prosecutors say Turner hit Nyree Greene in June while Greene's mother and aunt were pushing her in a stroller across Moselle Street.
The baby's mother and aunt were injured in the crash, but they have recovered from their injuries.
"There's no way to explain the feelings or emotions we went through, as soon as we looked [at Turner]. I finally got to see gim face to face, looked him right in the eyes. That's what made all the different emotions come," said Nyree's mother, Shannon Anderson after Turner's court appearance.
Police say Turner was heading home from a friend's house at the time of the crash.
A judge set his bail at $25,000. His case will now move to a Grand Jury.
Baby Nyree's family is planning a community party for what would have been her one-year birthday.
It will take place at at Crucial Center at 230 Moselle Street on October 30th. The family is donating all gifts to hospitals in the area.
