Buffalo fire crews responded early Friday morning to a house fire in Buffalo's Broadway-Bailey neighborhood.
The fire broke out in a vacant house on Hirschbeck Street around 4 a.m. The house became fully involved and is a total loss.
The fire spread to a neighboring home and caused about $10,000 worth of damage.
The second home was occupied, and the Red Cross is assisting five adults.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
