The Erie County Medical Center Corporation received major gift from Buffalo restaurateur and philanthropist just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Russell Salvatore donated a generous $1 million dollars to the hospital’s capital campaign. Together with Salvatore’s contribution, ECMC has raised $2.5 million for the campaign aimed at building a new, state-of-the-art Trauma Center and other improvements at the hospital.
Salvatore said ECMC holds a special place in his heart, with the staff becoming family to him over the years since he was first treated for an injury five years ago.
