Sabres forward Evander Kane pleaded not guilty in Buffalo City Court Monday to charges of harassment and trespassing.

Kane, 24, is charged  with four separate counts of non-criminal harassment, one count of disorderly conduct, and one count of criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.

The charges date back to June 23rd, when three women say Kane roughed them up at Bottoms Up on Chippewa. A bouncer at the bar also alleges Kane pushed him against a register, grabbed him and another security officer, and threatened to kill him.

Paul Cambria, who is representing Kane, says his client "strenuously denied any wrongdoing."

Cambria says the owners and managers of Bottoms Up say Kane is not a trespasser, even though police say he had to be forcefully removed from the bar that night.

As for how Kane is handling the accusations, Cambria said, "He's doing fine, he's an important part of the Sabres and he's a great kid." Cambria says he has not advised Kane to keep a low profile.

Kane is due back in court in September.
