EAST AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Investigators are looking into what led to a fire in East Amherst that caused $300,000 in damage, Tuesday night.
Authorities say several neighbors reported a fire at an attached garage on 8135 Clarherst Drive, just after 7:30 p.m.
Crews from multiple departments say the fire extended to the second floor of a home, and were able to put it out just before 8:30 p.m.
Officials say the did $200,000 in damage to the structure and $100,000 to the contents.
The Erie County Sheriff's Fire Investigation Office and the Clarence Fire Inspector are investigating the cause of the fire.
