TOWN OF GENESEE, N.Y. (WKBW) — A 76-year-old man is dead following a house fire in the Town of Genesee.
Fire crews were called to the scene around 4:00 a.m. on Bells Brook Road.
Officials say one person heard a smoke alarm and found a computer burning. The person tried to extinguish the fire but was unsuccessful.
The person then tried to move Charles Hollowell from his wheelchair but couldn't.
Emergency crews found Hollowell deceased.
