OLEAN, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office says a 45-year-old man is dead following a head-on crash on I-86 in Olean, Wednesday night.
Authorities say the man was driving east in a Buick Le Sabre in the westbound lane when he struck a Dodge Ram 3500 occupied by two younger men that was driving westbound, just after 7 p.m.
Deputies say the Buick spun out in the center median and came to a rest facing westbound.
Meanwhile, the Dodge flipped on its head and came to a rest on its top.
The driver of the Buick was transported to by an ambulance to Olean General Hospital where he was pronounced dead, while the occupants of the Dodge were also transported to the same hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
