SOUTH BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo Fire officials say two people died as a result of an Monday morning fire on Amber Street.
Firefighters battled the blaze, that sent two people to the hospital, a 73 year old male and a 60 year old female.
They were transported to Mercy Hospital in South Buffalo where they were later declared deceased. Fire officials say a dog also perished.
Investigators say it appears the fire started in an upper apartment, where the two lived. One person who lived in the lower apartment was not injured.
Damage is estimated at $135,000 and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
