BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The US Coast Guard Station Buffalo says a good Samaritan rescued two people from a boat fire Saturday afternoon.
The coast guard says they received reports just after 3 p.m. from people on shore of flames and smoke coming from a boat near the Small Boat Harbor.
Coast guard launched a rescue boat and notified Buffalo police, Buffalo fire and Border Patrol.
A good Samaritan rescued two people from the boat before authorities arrived, the two people did not sustain any injuries according to the coast guard.
The boat fire was extinguished and the boat will be towed back to shore.
No word was given on how the fire may have started.
