While the national average for gas prices climb slightly, New York State as a whole sees a slight drop, according to AAA.
The national average is $2.29 per gallon, up one cent from last week. Across New York, prices averaged at $2.42 per gallon, down one cent from last week. Buffalo also saw a one cent drop, putting the price at $2.42 per gallon.
Prices have remained relatively flat over the last few weeks as a result of lower driving demand and increased U.S. oil production; AAA says.
