It only looked like the Buffalo Niagara International Airport was going to the dogs. In truth the many four legged guys and girls there were on the job. They are part of the Paws For Love program presented by the S.P.C.A. of Erie County.

Debbie Braun has headed up Paws For Love since 2006 which now boasts more than 300 volunteers. She says the benefit of a program like this is "when you're here at the airport, they're not always traveling for a good reason and the dogs seem to relax them and make them feel good".

Paws For Love volunteers visit facilities all over Western New York, but with the stress of flying these days the therapy dogs find a lot of folks who need doggie hugs, that includes people passing through the airport and those who work here.

More information can be found at the S.P.C.A. website.
