A 12 year-old boy is at the hospital after being hit by birdshot on the city's east side, according to Buffalo Police.
The boy was hit shortly before noon on Quincy near Broadway.
He was taken to Erie County Medical Center with apparent non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives say the incident was not a random act.
Police and the Erie County District Attorney's office will continue to investigate the incident.
