Buffalo firefighters are calling for an emergency demolition of at least one building, involved in an overnight Friday fire.  Two buildings were affected.

Fire started about 1:00 a.m. on Watson Street, near William.

Firefighters had to force their way inside both buildings to fight this fire.

Division Chief Peter Kertzie stopped short of calling this fire suspicious.

"You can't ignore the facts of this.  They're vacant buildings, heavily boarded up, so we can probably rule out a couple of things.  It wasn't cooking, it wasn't a household item, but as of yet we don't have that narrowed down," Kertzie said.

One firefighter was hurt, but Kertzie said it doesn't appear to be serious.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
