The Buffalo Sabres will return to the Pegula Ice Arena at Penn State this year to face off against the defending Stanley Cup Champions.
The September 19 matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins is among the six games scheduled for the Sabres 2017 preseason.
It will be the second ever game between NHL teams at the Pegula Ice Arena since it opened in October of 2013. Last year, the Sabres opened their preseason schedule there against the Minnesota Wild.
The Sabres announced their complete 2017 preseason schedule on Monday:
- September 18 vs. Carolina Hurricanes at Keybank Center
- September 19 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins at Pegula Ice Arena
- September 22 vs. Toronto Maple Leafs at Ricoh Coliseum
- September 23 vs. Toronto Maple Leafs at Keybank Center
- September 27 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins at PPG Paints Arena
- September 29 vs. New York Islands at Keybank Center
