Lockport Police have arrested a 24 year old man in connection with today's armed robbery at the Eastern Niagara Hospital.

Adam Kibler has been charged with robbery in the first degree.

He will be arraigned Monday morning in Lockport City Court.

Lockport Police issued a Shelter In Place order early Saturday morning for the area around Eastern Niagara Hospital after an armed man who claimed to have a bomb stole drugs from the ER.

The order has been lifted.

According to police, around 4:45am, a man walked into Eastern Niagara Hospital with two guns and what he claimed was a bomb. The hospital says the man was after drugs and after he got what he was looking for, he fled.

No one was hurt and the hospital says no shots were fired at their facility. People living on nearby streets were ordered to stay inside their homes until further notice with their doors locked.

Police say they recovered the guns and the suspected bomb and that the bomb squad responded to the scene. Stephen Wallace provided 7 Eyewitness News with exclusive pictures of the scene.

The hospital says all patients and staff are safe. Ambulances were diverted until the Shelter in Place order was lifted.
