Three students from the Pioneer Central School District are safe after their First Student school bus went up in flames Friday morning.

State Police tell 7 Eyewitness News the bus driver was driving up a hill on Townline Road in Yorkshire when he reported having engine issues.  The driver said the engine started to sputter, then died, and started on fire.  The driver and students, who were between the ages of 12 - 17, were able to safely get off the bus before it ignited.

Police from Troop A tweeted around 8:30 a.m. that the bus fire was out and no injuries were reported.
