Suspect appears in court after dead dogs found in Niagara Falls

The woman arrested after two dead dogs were found locked inside metal crates appeared in court Thursday morning.

28-year-old Camillya Joseph is charged with two felony counts of Aggravated Animal Cruelty. Before a judge, Joseph waived her right to a public defender. Instead, she said would would find her own.

Niagara Falls Police condemned the vacant home on 20th street last month after the SPCA found the dead dogs. Investigators believe the dogs were dead for 45 to 50 days.
