A portion of I-190 South in Niagara Falls was closed for three-and-a-half hours as crews work to clear an accident involving a tanker truck carrying 7,000 gallons of Canadian whisky.
No whisky leaked in the crash with two other vehicles on the highway, which occurred between Niagara Falls Boulevard and Packard Road, and no one was injured.
According to Gregory Colangelo of the Niagara Falls Fire Department, the tractor trailer driver says one car stopped to not hit another car. When the tractor trailer driver hit the brakes to try to stop from hitting the cars, he jackknifed and the tractor trailer flipped.
The left lane of I-190 North was also closed as crews worked to clear the scene.
I-190 South has re-opened, as has the left lane on I-190 North.
