True Bethel break in photos released

Posted

Buffalo Police have released photos from the break in at True Bethel Baptist Church on Saturday night.

Bishop Darius Pridgen, a Buffalo Common Council member, said if the men had come forward and replace the window by Wednesday night, he will back off the police complaint, but they did not.

Pridgen says the men used a rock to break the window and enter the building. Security cameras caught both suspects as they triggered a silent alarm. They were able to escape before police arrived.

Pridgen describes both suspects as wearing hoodies. One hoodie had a UB logo on it. It's unclear what, if anything, was taken from the church.

In a Facebook post, Pridgen said, "I don't want to see these two go to jail for a stupid decision to break into a church, but they must learn that this is not the path."
