Two people made it out of a Niagara Falls home safely after fire swept through the building overnight.
The Niagara Falls Fire Department was called to the house on Lindbergh Avenue near 56th Street around 2 a.m. on Tuesday. The front of the house partially collapsed.
The battalion chief on the scene tells 7 Eyewitness News utilities posed a problem in fighting this fire. Power lines fell during the fire, and the home's gas meter was on fire, meaning firefighters had to stay clear until those areas were taken care of.
Firefighters say in addition to extensive damage outside the house, there is also moderate damage inside. No one was hurt, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
