University at Buffalo welcomes its largest medical school class to date

It's the largest medical school class the University at Buffalo has ever seen.

The incoming class of 2021 will have 180 students, which university officials say is possible because of its new facility opening soon at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

The new crop of students will spend a semester at the current facility before heading to the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

More than 80% of the new med students are from the state of New York.
