Amherst Police have identified the elderly woman who was killed crossing the streetafter leaving church Wednesday morning.
Police say Helen Liebler, 75, was hit by Arlene Adams, 36, while crossing Eggert Road just north of Main Street.
Liebler was hit just before 7:30 a.m.
She was taken to Erie County Medical Center by Twin City Ambulance where she died shortly after arriving.
Police say she was crossing the street to get to her car in a parking lot where she parked while attending mass at St. Benedict Church.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have seen the accident is asked to call Amherst Police at 689-1311.
