Cheektowaga, Cleveland Hill and Lancaster punch tickets to state semifinals

It was a great two days for Section VI football teams in Brockport as four of five teams punched their tickets to the State Final Four in their respective classes.

Lancaster beat Aquinas 9-0 in the Class AA Western regional final to keep their perfect season alive.

The Legends defense came up big, holding Aquinas to just 96 total yards on offense and just five first downs.

Up next for the Legends is Cicero-North Syracuse on Saturday, November 18th.

Cheektowaga beat Hornell 28-6 in the Class B Western regional final.

Quarterback Keshone Beal was named the game's Most Valuable Player after rushing for two touchdowns and throwing for another two.

Up next for the Warriors is Chenango Forks on Saturday, November 18th.

Cleveland-Hill beat Caledonia-Mumford 38-20 in the Class C Western regional final.

Running back Aaron Wahler had 16 carries for 212 rushing yards and three touchdowns. On defense, he had five solo tackles on his way to being named the game's Most Valuable Player.

Up next for the Golden Eagles is Skaneateles on Saturday, November 18th.

On Friday night, West Seneca West (Class A) and Maple Grove (Class D) won their Western regional finals.
