BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo Sabres forward Casey Mittelstadt was added to the NHL's COVID-19 Protocol on Sunday. He is Buffalo's eighth player to be added to the protocol in the last week.
Head coach Ralph Krueger is also in the league's protocol, and is the only confirmed positive case in the organization.
Fowards Taylor Hall, Dylan Cozens, Tobias Rieder, and Curtis Lazar, along with defensemen Jake McCabe, Rasmus Ristolainen, and Brandon Montour, are all in the protocol as well.
The Sabres' last game was against the New Jersey Devils last Sunday. Their next game is scheduled for Thursday against the Washington Capitals.
