After spurning the Predators, is Harvard star Jimmy Vesey primed to sign with the Sabres?
There were reports the Hobey Baker winner was set to sign with the Bruins and then with the Maple Leafs after deciding not to sign with Nashvilleand enter free agency in August.
Vesey was drafted by the Preds with the 66th overall pick in 2012.
Now, according to CSN New England, Vesey could be interested in playing alongside Sabres center Jack Eichel.
Sometimes tough to gauge the validity of these things, but there are whispers of Jimmy Vesey interest in Buffalo, and playing w/Jack Eichel

The Harvard star suited up with Eichel at the 2015 World Championships, where Team USA earned a Bronze medal.
Vesey's representative, Peter Donatelli, tells 7 Eyewitness Sports Reporter Nick Filipowski that the reports circulating are pure speculation.
"The rules are very clear in that Jimmy is the property of the Nashville Predators until August 15, 2016. However, he will become a free agent at that time and has made that clear," he said in an e-mail.
"After the draft and the July free agency period we should have a better idea of teams that we feel may be a good fit. We expect to be contacted by many teams. On August 15 we will have a better idea. All reports to date are speculation."
Teams can begin negotiating with Vesey when unrestricted free agency period begins.
