BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Wednesday the Buffalo Sabres announced the players who were assigned to its taxi squad ahead of the team's season opener Thursday.
Forwards Rasmus Asplund and Casey Mittelstadt, defensemen William Borgen and Brandon Davidson and goaltender Jonas Johansson were assigned to the taxi squad.

Thursday morning it was announced forward Jack Quinn was also added to the taxi squad.

This announcement means Dylan Cozens has made the Sabres opening night roster. Cozens was selected by the team in the first round of the 2019 NHL Draft.
