A terrible start to the season for the Buffalo Sabres has just gotten a bit worse.
Sabres head coach Dan Bylsma announced Friday that Kane cracked three ribs in the season opener, and will be out for weeks.

Kane's injury was the second high-profile injury in as many days for Buffalo. The day before the season, Jack Eichel went down in the last 10 minutes of practice. There's no timeline on his return, and he says he won't return until he's 100%"
