Phil Housley won't say who the Buffalo Sabres are taking with the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NHL Draft, but he's confident the Sabres will get their guy.

"I'm sure he [Jason Botterill] is going to make the right choice," Housley said while cracking a smile at the Jim Kelly Charity Golf Classic on Monday. "We're excited to have the No. 1 pick, obviously. It's going to be a special player. I'm really excited, winning the lottery was huge for us. I just had this sense we were going to get that pick..."
Housley spoke with reporters for one of the first times since the Sabres officially landed the top-selection in late April.
"The Draft lottery was awesome, it really gives our fans hope" Housley added. "There is a lot of pressure on a No. 1 pick. So we're going to have to protect him and put him in the right areas but obviously, he's going to be a player that has an impact on our team."
