BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — The bright spot in Saturday's game against the New York Islanders? Victor Olofsson scored his first NHL goal.
The rest of the game? Not pretty.
The Sabres fell to the the Islanders 5-1 for their seventh straight loss. That brings their March record to 2-11-2 and are now sitting at 31-37-10 overall on the season.
Jack Eichel picked up an assist on Olofsson's goal while goaltender Carter Hutton stopped 33 of 38 shots.
The Sabres are back in action Sunday when they host Columbus at 6 p.m. They then return to KeyBank Center on Tuesday and Thursday for their final home games of the season.
