After one season behind the Buffalo bench as an assistant coach, Dave Barr is leaving the Sabres for Florida.
The Miami Herald is reporting that Barr is joining the Panthers.

Barr, 55, will coach under Gerard Gallant in Florida. The two were teammates while playing for the Detroit Red Wings.
Sabres head coach Dan Bylsma now has two assistant jobs to fill. Earlier this offseason general manager Tim Murray named Buffalo assistant Dan Lambert head coach of the AHL's Rochester Americans.
