BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Despite the Sabres' record, and an expiring contract, it appears as though the Buffalo Sabres and forward Taylor Hall have mutual interest in exploring a contract extension, according to TSN's Pierre LeBrun.
During TSN Hockey's Insider Trading, LeBrun said that the Sabres, Hall, and Hall's agent Darren Ferris all have interest in potentially exploring a contract extension.
LeBrun said that Hall and the Sabres can officially begin discussing a contract extension on March 12th.
Hall, 29, signed a one-year $8 million contract with the Sabres during the offseason.
So far this season, Hall has one goal and eight assists in 12 games.
The NHL Trade Deadline is on April 12th.
