According to Kris Baker of SabresProspects.com, Buffalo Sabres forward Kyle Okposo, who missed the final weeks of the season with an undisclosed illness, is doing much better.
Earlier this month, reports circulated that Okposo was admitted into the neuro-surgical ICU at Buffalo General Hospital. According to Baker, Okposo experienced complications while being treated for a concussion.
The Sabres have remained very tight-lipped during the entire process. Players from around the league have sent well wishes, but until now we've never heard exactly what Okposo was dealing with that left him hospitalized.
Baker added that Okposo is expected to return next season. In 65 games this season, Okposo has 45 points [19G, 26A].
