It appears Carter Hutton will be the newest goaltender for the Buffalo Sabres.

According to Andy Strickland of Fox Sports Midwest, Hutton is expected to join the Sabres, despite interest from plenty of teams. Strickland added that further details likely won’t be released until Sunday when free agency officially begins.

Hutton, 32, is coming off his most accomplished season in the NHL with the St. Louie Blues. In 26 starts, Hutton finished with a 17-7-3 record, posting a 2.09 goals against average and a .931 percentage. Over the span of his career, Hutton has a 63-39-17 record with a 2.42 goals against average and .915 save percentage.

Hutton has been tied to the Sabres for months and met with the Sabres this week.
