Two years ago Jack Eichel, then a rookie, gave a capacity crowd at KeyBank Center reason to celebrate, scoring an overtime goal to defeat his hometown Bruins during a rookie tournament in down town Buffalo.
Last year, the Sabres hosted a rookie tournament with Boston and New Jersey at HarborCenter and it appears the rookie fun will be returning to the Queen City.
According to Mark Divver of the Providence Journal, the Sabres are set to host the Bruins, Devils and potentially the Penguins in September.

Is it surprising with new General Manager Jason Botterill that there is a potential to have his former club, the Pittsburgh Penguins, in town for a weekend showcase? Nope -- after all -- there are plenty of Pittsburgh connections to staff he's put together in Buffalo and Rochester.
The Sabres have yet to officially announce a rookie tournament.
