The Buffalo Sabres made arguably their biggest move of the offseason Thursday, adding Jeff Skinner from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for prospect Cliff Pu, a 2019 second round draft pick, 2020 third round pick, and 2020 sixth round pick.

Skinner, 26, scored 49 points in 82 games last season.

In his career, Skinner has tallied 379 points in 579 games.

A native of Toronto, Ontario, Carolina acquired Skinner in the first round of the 2010 draft.

Skinner has one year remaining on his current contract, with a cap hit of $5.725 million.
