BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — On the second day of NHL free agency, the Sabres have re-signed Brandon Montour to a one-year, 3.85 million dollar deal. The two sides came together just before the player-elected arbitration deadline.

Montour scored five goals and added 13 assists in 54 games in the 2019-2020 season. He's also led all Sabres defensemen in plus-minus (+9) since he was acquired from the Anaheim Ducks in February 2019.

He also led all Sabres, regardless of position, in plus-minus last season (+13). At 26 years old, this was his final off-season as a restricted free agent.
