BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — It didn't start pretty and it ended even worse.

The Buffalo Sabres fell to 16-13-7 on the season following a 6-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night. It was the team's second straight loss.

The Flyers jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one period and added another three in the third to take a commanding lead with twenty minutes left to play.

Victor Olofsson scored the lone goal in the team's loss, his 15th of the season.

Sabres captain Jack Eichel was scratched before Thursday's game with an upper body injury. With that scratch, his 17-game point streak came to an end per the NHL's twitter account.

The Sabres will be back in action on Saturday, December 21st when they take on the LA Kings.
