A former Buffalo Sabre is heading back to Buffalo. The Sabres will acquire Jason Pominville and Marco Scandella from the Minnesota Wild, in exchange for Tyler Ennis and Marcus Foligno.
There are also a few draft picks moving around as part of the deal as well, with the Sabres sending a 3rd round pick to the Wild, and Minnesota sending a 4th round pick to Buffalo.
Pominville was drafted in the 2nd round by the Sabres back in the 2001 NHL Entry draft. He played in Rochester until the 2005-06 season, when he was called up to the Sabres. Pominville scored 68 points in the 2006-07 season, and 80 points the next season.

He was dealt to Minnesota in 2013 in a trade for prospects Johan Larsson, Matt Hackett, and two draft picks. Last season, Pominville played in 78 games, scoring 13 goals and assisting on 34.
Marco Scandella is a 27-year old defenseman. He played in 71 games, finishing the year with 13 points and a -2 +/-.
The deal sends Tyler Ennis and Marcus Foligno to the Wild. Ennis played in 51 games last season, only totaling 74 games over the last two seasons combined. Foligno scored 13 goals and added 10 assists in 80 games last year.
