After months of speculation it looks like Buffalo Sabres forward Zemgus Girgensons isn't going anywhere -- at least for now.
Girgensons is 22 & was an all-star two years ago. I don't think we'll see that production again, but for about $1M GMTM got a steal #Sabres

Thursday the Buffalo Sabres announced the organization has reached a one-year deal with Girgensons. According to Travis Yost from TSN, the deal is worth "just north of $1MM."

In 2015-16, Girgesons tallied 7 goals and 11 assists in 71 games played. The 22-year-old forward has 70 points in 202 career games. He was selected 14th overall in the 2012 NHL Draft.
Love the Girgensons deal. Low risk, medium reward. Solid two way player. If he doesn't improve #Sabres not tied down long term @WKBW

In a statement Sabres General Tim Murray said, "Zemgus has grown into a solid two-way player since beginning his career. We hope to see him continue this positive trend and find a consistent role within the club this season as another young player to grow with our group.”
