BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Tage Thompson’s season has come to an end.
On Tuesday, the Buffalo Sabres announced Thompson has undergone successful shoulder surgery. The expected recovery time is five to six months.

Thompson was originally injured on November 17th but team doctors later determined surgery was the next necessary step to ensure a full recovery.
In 107 career NHL games, Thompson has 10 goals and 11 assists.
