Another day and the smoke continues to rise as it pertains to the trade rumors surrounding Sabres star forward Evander Kane.
A day after SportsNet's Elliotte Friedman said a few team including Los Angeles were interesting in trading for the winger, TSN Insider Bob McKenzie added he believed Kane "will likely be traded by the Buffalo Sabres" during a radio appearance on TSN 690 in Montreal on Monday.
"It's a new regime with General Manager Jason Botterill. He's a year away from unrestricted free agency and I don't believe he fits into the long-term vision of the team," McKenzie said. "He may not be the only guy in Buffalo in that situation."

McKenzie continued on the future of netminder Robin Lehner, who former General Manager Tim Murray traded for two years ago.
"Robin Lehner is up for a contract right now. He's got salary (arbitration) and he's probably got a really good case of getting well in excess of $4 million a year. I don't know if the new regime in Buffalo has decided if he's their number one goalie."
“So I would not be the least bit surprised to hear lots of Evander Kane and potentially Robin Lehner trade rumors between now and the draft.”
