Ryan O'Reilly has never played in an NHL playoff game with the Buffalo Sabres and the frustration is beginning to set in.
On Monday O'Reilly and his teammates reported to KeyBank Center for the last time this season, packing up their gear and saying goodbye as they close the door on yet another disappointing season.

"We're stuck in this mindset in being okay with losing," O'Reilly said. "It's sad, I feel throughout the year I've lost the love of the game multiple times."
O'Reilly was then asked if he thought he needed a change of scenery.

"I really want to be a part of the solution here," O'Reilly responded. "If something happens and I'm moved then obviously it's a change that they decide to make but I want to be here, I want to win here because I feel it would be special here. It's a great city and they deserve a winning team."
Acquired at the NHL Draft in 2015, O'Reilly was almost immediately signed to a long-term extension, at the time made him the highest-paid player in Sabres history.
Despite a 61 point season and an NHL record for faceoff wins in a season, O'Reilly said a lot needs to change if the Sabres are going to change their losing ways.
