LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — Lockport Police say their search for a missing woman has concluded after she was found dead in the Erie Canal.
According to police, 52-year-old Kristine Adams had been last seen just before 8 a.m. on Thursday and they said the circumstances regarding her disappearance were unknown.
On Friday afternoon, Lockport Police released the following statement:
"The City of Lockport Police Detective Division has concluded their search for missing person, Kristine M. Adams. She was located deceased in the Erie Canal.
The City of Lockport Police Department was assisted by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office's dive team and the City of Lockport Fire Department in this investigation."
Police did not provide any other information regarding the death or discovery.
