In Buffalo there’s no business, like show business. Local filmmaker Greg Robbins’ latest movie will be set entirely inside an Allentown home. Some of the cast and crew are there for rehearsals because even during a pandemic “the show must go on.”
The dramatic comedy called “Aging Out,” is the first film to go into production in Western New York since the COVID shutdown.
Screenwriter and director Greg Robbins says it’s different and there are some extra precautions they have to take as far as the Screen Artists Guild is concerned and keeping the crew safe but it isn’t that bad. While actors don’t have to wear masks while acting out scenes, crew and those watching in the wings do. Other team members Zoom in.
Also, on set is a very familiar face. Greg says Linda Pellegrino is playing Candace, one of the lovely ladies that belongs to our grandma’s book club, the lady that runs the orphanage and she is a sassy and sarcastic character.
